How to Get to The Stone Center in Newark

The Stone Center is located at 150 Bergen Street in Newark, NJ, on the campus of the University of Medicine and Dentistry, conveniently located just off Route 280. We're only a half-hour's drive from New York City and other nearby areas.

You must have someone come with you to The Stone Center who will accompany you home, and who can remain with you for 24 hours after your procedure. If you do not have transportation to The Stone Center, please notify our staff and we will assist you with making the necessary arrangements.

Complimentary valet parking is available at The Stone Center.

From the Garden State Parkway, North & South:
From Route 280 East:

Take Exit l45 to I-280 East. Stay in center lane. Take Exit 13, (on the left) Newark, (UMDNJ, NJIT, and First Street). Stay to the right. Turn right onto First Street. First Street becomes Bergen Street. Go through four traffic lights. The entrance to University Hospital will be on your left. Look for signs for The Stone Center. The Stone Center of New Jersey is located between University Hospital and the Dental School.

From Route 78, East Or West:

Take Exit 56/Clinton Avenue. Continue straight on Hillside Avenue till the end. Make a left onto Avon Avenue. At the first light make a right onto Irvine Turner Blvd. At the 7th light, turn left onto South Orange Avenue. Go through the first light and bear right at the fork, turn right onto Bergen Street. Turn right into the 2nd entrance to University Hospital. Look for signs for The Stone Center. The Stone Center is located between the Main Entrance to University Hospital and the Dental School.

From New Jersey Turnpike, North & South:
From Route 280 West:

Take Exit 15W to I-280 West to the Orange Street/6th Street exit. Make the first right onto Orange Street, proceed one block to First Street. First Street becomes Bergen Street. The entrance to University Hospital (after the fourth light) will be on your left. Look for signs for The Stone Center.
